So here are the three stones that survived the process. The two that flew off the dop will be finished later. Clicking on the above thumbnails will take you to a larger image. After rounding the preform with 170 grit wheel, I used finer and finer grits until polishing with chromium oxide on felt pad. Next will be designing a wrap/setting for each of the cabochons. I will start (actually have already started) designing the emerald as a pendant first.
This has been a fun project to run around work, and other family duties. Off for a week of no work, only family and stones (yeah, annual leave).
